Supplemental Security Income (SSI) payments are delivered on the 1st day of every month. When the 1st lands on a weekend or federal holiday, payments are delivered on the prior business day.

Why are SSI payments shifted?
Federal law mandates that if the 1st of the month falls on a Saturday, Sunday, or Federal holiday, funds must be available on the closest preceding business day (usually Friday).
Receive Both SSI & SSDI?
Dual eligible beneficiaries receive SSI on the 1st and Social Security on the 3rd.
